Colorado Designers unite to be part of this fashion flash mob!
During the month of July Denver is hosting the Biennial of the Americas! This international event celebrates the ideas, culture, and people of the Western Hemisphere, bringing together everything from art to political ideas and displaying it in one city.
One of the four themes of the biennial this year is community! How awesome is our fashion community? Pretty awesome if you ask me… and getting larger and cooler by the minute it seems! We really should represent ourselves in some way for the biennial….
Thus the Flash Mob Fashion was born. Taking inspiration from the displays that have been installed in New York City’s garment center… we wanted to extend an invitation to all in the fashion community, regardless of skill level or design taste, to come and show the world that we are here! We would love to see a range of people from corporations and established designers to beginners and students! This includes jewelry and accessory designers too!

I was honored to be the emcee (yes, I got on stage, and I talked to people!!!!!) at the Style Wars competition at Denver Art Museum… during the untitled event aptly named sloth! I was asked to answer some questions about slo fashion on the museum blog… and smashing darlings liked what I had to say! That’s awesome, because as triciahoke.com grows, I really want to impart the slo fashion ideal that someone… right now it is me… but someone somewhere makes the items that you are wearing, eating, drinking, looking at. triciahoke.com pieces are made for you. so, this post has nothing to do with the collection, but everything to do with the feeling of the collection. I refuse to be fast… Its okay to go slow sometimes.

You are looking at the purse pants, Im really excited to show how these transform from pant to a bag! (you know, just incase you ever want to go pantless and bring out your inner lady ga ga… Ha Ha)
