I reached out to them as an emerging designer to ask a few questions about the relationships between designers, bloggers, and editorials after a post and a weird experience the other day.
Stirring the pot maybe, but just wanted honest feedback. Thanks to all of you who have commented, and to Aneta from bobbintalk… I am happy to hear that it is not common practice, and that I was in the right to feel the way that I did! I love the supportive online fashion community, and we are in the position to guide it to become an ethical, fair, and sustainable form of communitcation! Yay for all of us!

Bring out the stylist in you! couturious.com They are putting emerging designers on this site, which is excellent… now you can see how to wear some of the avant garde looks that I design in an everyday setting! Not to mention, this links back to where you can purchase items… a big plus if you ask me! Now I have something to do on the bus!
They will have some clothing from my dear friend/ fellow designer Lynn Bruning soon… so keep watch as this site grows and supports emerging designers!

The Denver Post sites Tactile Gallery’s show exhibiting the old and new versions of lace. Tricia Hoke signature collection pieces exhibts new versions and ideas on knotting, holes and lace techniques for use as decorative touches and as a foundation/pattern for the garment itself. The “Wood Droplet Dress” and the “Not So Knit Top” won best of fashion in this show! Thanks so much Tactile!

The Oscars, well I can’t say I actually saw them… I was busy drinking champagne and dancing to Lady GaGa in the Idea box at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver! Myself and 9 other local designers auctioned off our version of Oscar gowns in the main entrance, proceeds benefiting the Denver Film Society!
